The DELE and SIELE are exams that certify proficiency in the Spanish language. They perform the same function as Cambridge or TOEFL in English, for example. Both exams are covered by the Instituto Cervantes, a public institution that universally promotes the teaching, study and use of Spanish and contributes to the dissemination of Hispanic cultures abroad.
At our schools, as well as being able to take both exams, you can prepare for them with help from our teachers, who have been specifically trained through ELE courses run by the Instituto Cervantes. Best of all, most of our teachers are official examiners, so you’ll feel right at home during the exam.

What are the differences between DELE and SIELE?
If you are still not clear about the difference between one exam and the other and which one is best for you, we outline them below.

| How does the exam work? |
At a given level, the complete exam must be taken on one of the dates pre-established by the Instituto Cervantes. |
It is possible to take the full examination or to test skills separately. Depending on the score, one level or another is accredited. The candidate chooses the date and time of the exam. |

Register online, through the Instituto Cervantes's website. The test takes place in a certified centre (such as our schools in Alicante, Granada, Barcelona and Madrid, for example). |

It varies depending on the level you want to be accredited. It ranges from approximately 112 EUR to 234 EUR. Check the prices here. |
